Mansfield-UConn Collaboration

Mansfield Parks and Recreation and the University of Connecticut Community School of the Arts are pleased to announce the final phase of their partnership that began in June 2014. In June 2016, all classes and lessons will be available through Mansfield Parks. Families may enroll students in individual lessons in all instruments and voice,  and a number of music classes and ensembles will begin in the summer with continuation in the Fall 2016.

Year Round Programming

CSA offers year-round programming for beginners through advanced students, including college- and conservatory-preparatory programs. Programs include; individual and group music, dramatic arts, special events and professional development.

Faculty & Staff

The Community School of the Arts offers access to a rich and diverse body of faculty that comprises professional musicians and artists-teachers, including but not limited to faculty, lecturers, and graduate students in the UConn School of Fine Arts and Music Department. With nearly 30 teachers in musical and dramatic arts, the Community School of the Arts can also meet the instructional needs for all orchestral and band instruments as well as any voice type.
